Susan called the meeting to order at 7pm.
February 2011 meeting minutes:
David let the rest of the Village Planning Board that it was brought to his attention that Village
Planning Board By-laws must coincide with State By-laws.

Don motioned to pass the March 15, 2011 meeting minutes as corrected, David Seconded. All aye, motion carried.
Corinne contacted The Conference of Mayors regarding Village Planning By-Laws and Village Board By-Laws and the verdict was The Village Board By-Laws trump anything Village Planning Board By-Laws. Village Planning Board Members would like to see this in writing.
Peg Churchill spoke about some of the different programs: i.e. tax breaks for businesses in
Wayne County wanting to expand or settle here in the county.
A letter from the Sodus Village Board came to the Village of Sodus Planning Board, all members will look at the letter and discussion has been tabled till the next meeting in April.
A letter of recommendation from The Village Planning Board will be sent to The Village Board recommending Dawn Brown as a member to the Village Planning Board. Mary Ann motioned to send the letter, David seconded. All Aye, motion carried.
Teresa will send the letter.
There is a Village of Sodus Trustees Budget Workshop meeting on Thursday, March 17, 2011 to discuss the Village budget, here at the Village offices.
Susan asked that all Members come with properties for sale or that are vacant in the Village. The Board will compile a list for potential businesses. There are also many properties that need significant work done on them.
Joan shared an email about The Landmark Society holding a training on April 30, 2011 in Dansville, NY. She stated they always do a good job with their trainings.
The Village Board of Trustees approved to allow Village Planning Board Members to go to this training and pay the registration fee.
There being no further business, Mary Ann motioned to close the meeting at 8:15 pm, and Joan seconded the motion. All Aye, motion carried.
